Flake, solid color, metallic and quartz floors built for Lancaster garages, shops and storefronts, and for the heat, sun and wind of the whole Antelope Valley. Ask for a free on-site estimate and get a same-day reply with a fixed written quote.
Accent Epoxy Floors coats garage floors, patios, pool decks, shops and commercial spaces in Lancaster, Palmdale and across the Antelope Valley. Every job starts with diamond grinding and ends with a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat, and a standard two-car garage in a flake system is finished in a single day.
The Antelope Valley is hard on concrete coatings. Summer afternoons run in the high 90s and often past 100F, winter mornings drop below freezing, and the wind that blows through the valley carries fine dust into every open garage door. A coating that looks fine on a showroom sample can fail here if the slab was not ground properly, if the wrong product sat in the sun, or if the crew rushed a hot afternoon. We plan every install around those conditions, from the start time to the products we choose.
You deal with one local company from the first phone call to the final walkthrough. We measure on site, test and inspect the slab, show you samples from the color chart, and hand you a fixed written quote, so the number you approve is the number you pay. We are open Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and Friday, 8 AM to 2 PM, and we take cash, check or credit card. Ask us about the written warranty when we visit.
Every floor we build follows the same logic: a ground slab, a firm bond, a pigmented body coat and a topcoat that can take the sun. Choose the finish that suits your space, from a one-day flake garage floor to a metallic showpiece, an outdoor coating or a hangar-sized commercial job.

Here is how our flake system goes down, the most common floor we install and the one that finishes in a day. Solid color, metallic and quartz floors follow their own schedules, because they need more coats, more cure time or both.
A planetary grinder with diamond tooling opens the surface of the slab and cuts the bonding profile the coating locks into.
Cracks, spalls and pits are filled with a hard repair compound and ground flush, so they do not telegraph through the finished floor.
The slab is vacuumed with industrial equipment and wiped down, so no dust or grit is left between the concrete and the coating.
Stem walls, steps and cove bases are coated by hand so the edges match the floor.
A pigmented epoxy primer or moisture-barrier basecoat seals the pores of the slab and carries the color under the flake.
Decorative flake is thrown by hand to full rejection, covering every inch so no bare spot shows through.
Loose flake is scraped, swept and vacuumed up, leaving a flat, even texture ready for the topcoat.
A UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat locks the flake in and resists hot tires, chemicals and fading in strong desert sun.
Not sure which floor to pick? Compare the main systems side by side: the look, the install time, the feel underfoot and the spaces each one suits. All of them can be finished with a UV-stable topcoat that stands up to desert sun.

Short, plain guides on cost, yellowing, dust, moisture and the other questions desert homeowners ask before they coat a floor. Read them first and you will know what to expect and what to ask any contractor.
To prepare a garage for epoxy, empty it completely, move vehicles out, clear the walls, unplug appliances and make sure the crew has access to power and the space around the floor. The crew handles grinding, crack repair and cleaning, so do not etch, paint or seal the floor yourself.
Read the answer →Epoxy turns yellow because ultraviolet light and heat slowly break down the resin, a change called ambering. It shows first where sun hits the floor, usually near the garage door. A UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat, a color that hides slight change and less direct sun on the slab are what prevent it.
Read the answer →A sealed epoxy or polyaspartic floor stops bare concrete from shedding powder, but it cannot keep wind-blown desert dust out of the garage. What it does is make that dust easy to see and easy to remove. Seal the slab, seal the door edges, and dust mop before you wet mop.
Read the answer →The best way to clean an epoxy garage floor is to dust mop or blow off the grit, then mop with warm water and a mild pH-neutral cleaner using a soft mop or microfiber pad. Rinse, then dry. Skip acids, harsh solvents, wax and abrasive pads that can dull the finish.
Read the answer →Yes, a garage slab should be checked for moisture before it is coated, even in a dry desert climate. Concrete can hold and pass water vapor, and that vapor can push a coating off the slab. Calcium chloride and in-slab relative humidity tests measure it, and a moisture-barrier basecoat protects against it.
Read the answer →Yes, epoxy can handle an RV garage or workshop, because the concrete slab carries the weight and the coating protects its surface. The slab must be sound. A good system adds a deep bond, traction and a UV-stable topcoat. Large floors are measured and quoted at a free estimate.

Epoxy flooring in Lancaster runs from $6.50 to $18.50 per square foot depending on the system: flake $6.50 to $10, quartz and sand $9 to $16.50, solid color $9.50 to $11.50 and metallic $12.50 to $18.50. Every project has a $2,600 minimum. Your free estimate gives you one fixed written quote.
A two-car flake garage floor up to 400 square feet costs $2,600 to $4,000 with us. Solid color for the same garage starts at $3,800 and runs to $4,600, and metallic runs $5,000 to $7,400. Cracks, old coatings and options such as a cove base can move the price, so we quote after measuring.
Epoxy bonds hard to concrete and builds thickness, polyaspartic is a UV-stable, fast-curing coating that works well as a topcoat, and polyurea is the broader fast-setting family polyaspartic belongs to. Most garage floors do best with an epoxy or moisture-barrier base under a polyaspartic topcoat.
For the topcoat, yes. Polyaspartic resists the UV that makes plain epoxy amber in strong sun, and it tolerates a wider range of temperatures during application. Epoxy is still the better basecoat for bonding and moisture control, so we pair them rather than choosing one.
A well-prepped floor with a UV-stable topcoat can serve a home garage for many years, but the exact life depends on the slab, the sun on the floor and how the space is used. Preparation matters more than the brand name. Ask us about the written warranty when we give your estimate.
Yes, when the slab is ground properly and the system is cured fully before cars return. Hot-tire pickup happens when a weak or poorly bonded coating softens under tires that come in hot after a long drive. A full-broadcast flake floor with a polyaspartic topcoat resists it well.
A standard two-car garage flake floor is finished in one day. Solid color takes about 3 days, metallic takes 3 to 4 days and quartz and sand finishes take 2 to 3 days. Large garages, heavy crack repair and outdoor jobs can add time, and your written quote lists the schedule.
Plain epoxy can amber or chalk when sun falls on it for hours every day, which is why we do not leave it as the top layer in a sunny garage or on a patio. We finish with a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat, which holds its clarity and color in strong desert light.
Yes. Diamond grinding opens the pores of the concrete and cuts a bonding profile that the coating locks into. It also removes old paint, sealers and the weak surface layer. Acid etching and rinsing do not give the same grip, and skipped prep is the most common reason floors peel.
A smooth, glossy epoxy floor can be slick when wet, but a flake floor has texture that grips well underfoot. For pool decks, steps, ramps and wash areas we add a slip-resistant additive to the topcoat. Tell us where water will be present and we will choose the right texture.
For most garages, yes. A coated floor resists oil and hot tires, sweeps and mops clean of desert dust, and makes bare concrete look finished. It costs more than leaving the slab alone and it can scratch over time, so the quality of the prep matters more than the color you pick.
A fully cured epoxy or polyaspartic floor is a solid, inert surface that is widely used in homes, kitchens and shops. During installation the product gives off odor, so we ventilate and use a VOC-free polyaspartic sealant. Keep pets and children out until we say the floor is ready.
